 I took this picture because of the relationship between sand and time. I think it turned out better than my other pictures for this contest.

Not a strong idea, but even so, you could have cleaned this up a little. Straighten the hourglass and clean the surface, for starters.

the light is not working for me here, the pink dots on the left and the dirt of the right are very distracting for what could've been a great shot.

With a single subject like this the tilt must be intentional, but it only detracts from the photo for me. The pink specks also seem out of place.

way to go on your first challenge. Some of the other submissions like this have some great background imagery which is nice. The plainess of this one is kind of poetic as well.
