 Using suggestions from alans_world I
1. chose the wand tool and set the anti-alias value to 2
2. Selected the branches in a couple of places
3. Used the clone tool to paint the majority of the area
4. Deselect
5. use the clone tool to clean up the edges of the circle and branches
6. Use the heal tool to clean up a little more.
