My own family ditched me this year for Thanksgiving so I crashed my friend's family's thanksgiving. I turned out to be a party more than a dinner! They had about 30 people who were mostly friends come and they had several little tables set up rather than 1 big one. The family is Mexican and very into their booze so we also had some great tequila shots, wine, and beer everywhere. I'm not quite 21 yet but no one seemed to mind :)

I have a couple mini-stories though. We were just chillin' watching some football and then my friend Adri came in witha couple of deviled eggs. She handed me one and then popped one in her mouth. 2 seconds later I hear her say, "Shit, this has mustard in it!" ...she is allergic to mustard. I told her to spit out what she hadn't swallowed yet and to rinse out her mouth. I asked her if she wanted to go home to get her epideral pen but she said "no" and then about 30 seconds later said, "Ok, lets go" So her house is about 13 mins away from the house we were at and I had to speed like crazy since her throat was starting to close. By the time we got to her apartment she was already wheezing. The she took out the pen and jammed it into her thigh. She was fine a minute later but had a hole in her leg the size of a hole-punch from the needle...ugh (I'm terrified of needles). Everything was fine after that and we went back to the party, crisis avoided.

Story # 2 is more humorous. I made about 30 pumpkin muffins to bring to the party to have with dinner or as dessert. When I set them down on the table though, everyone started snatching them up as appitzers. I thought, it'll be fine, there is plenty. Then I come back 20 mins later and see a crowd of people around the table where the muffins are. I wanted to grab a couple for me and Adri's dinner since we hadn't had any yet. The the crowd parts and I see that there's one muffin left! I start walking toward it with my arm stretched out while still 15ft away, and then, almost in slow motion, I see a hand reach out, grab the muffin and take a bite. Me = "Nooooooooooooooooo" in slow motion. lol, at least everyone liked them :/ I made another batch the next time I went to Adri's house and we finally got to eat some.
