| Strong B&W photo. I like the contrasts (and the snow). Think you should crop away the left (very) white part. |

| I really like the detail in this, considering half the picture is white. B&W was a good choice for this, but then again you already know that. |

| PAW (for my 2009 goal counting purposes) - I love the heavy, fresh, untouched snowfall on this rustic building. It does well in B&W. I haven't seen snow close up in not nearly enough time. ;-) I saw it in the mountains a week ago and that was close enough for me. |

Linda, I'm looking so forward to your black and whites, and I hope there will be lots more showing the rugged beauty of Alaska like this. We are hoping to go to Alaska on our vacation later this year, and the more I see of it, the more I love it!

| This is a great show shot. Took me a few seconds to figure out what sort of scale I was looking at though. I really like the gentle shadows in the snow contrasting against the harsh textures of the cabin and background trees. |

| I agree with the sharpness. But you did certainly capture the essence of the cold and solitude. I love the untouched snow. Whenever it snows in Seattle no one goes to work and all the kids play, you can't ever find any untouched patches. It's rather sad from a photographer's standpoint. (= |

| It looks just a bit over-sharpened to me. But that may be just because of the large contrast jump between the snow and the black parts. |

| Beautiful detail in this photo - doesn't everybody love dovetail corners?. Nice job on the b/w conversion. The biting coldness of the snow is communicated perfectly. |

| Nice. Really graphic. The one thing I'd watch is the sharpening halos between the white white snow, and the really dark stuff. You may want to sharpen, then partially mask out the sharpening in those areas. |
