WOW...CRUCIFIED for my transparency attempt. Well this was (obviously, i thought)my transparency entry, except i realized ,after editing, that is was basic...didn't like it with basic editing..so i put it in free study just for kicks. i guess nobody likes a a transparent lamp between my subject and I...good to know.
levels, curves, glow, cloned out distraction in top right corner, resized, border, um, save for web.

I'm so disappointed in the voters. This is an awesome composition. Artistic and unique, definitely outside the box and the lamp everyone had such a problem with is what I love about it. And... I agree with Luke!
DPC needs this photo. It needs to not be content with the usual images, even advertising images. Well done. I'd even say you are teetering toward the Dark Side. Come closer, Luke...
I like the idea. If I was going to give your image a title, it would be "She's the light of my life". I say that because of the position of the lamp, her head is where the flame would be. Maybe a different position for her body because that arm is a bit distracting for me. Good concept though. Good luck!!
beautiful model (even with her eyes closed)
terrific lighting and framing
...then there's the glass (lamp) object... I'm intrigued to see how you did it within the rules.... 8
