All ready for the Tournament of Roses Parade on Thursday.

Took one exposure for the building and one for the sky. They're not blended as nicely as I'd like, but it's the best I could do with a wiggly 8 month old on my lap. ;)

You can do that with a wiggly 8 month old on your lap?! Great work. If you hadn't mentioned it I wouldn't have noticed anything wrong with the sky.

Ah, I remember that well! Actually the sky replacement looks great! I bet that place is looking a WHOLE lot different right about now :-) Are you being brave and taking Soren to see the parade?

Officially, I think in another few hours they're allowed to start setting up "camp," but there are lots of RVs parked near the parade route, and plenty of folks milling about already.

Germaine - I did try waiting for a break in the traffic, but this was the best I could do. Probably if I went back at a different time of day I'd have more luck ;) There was some sort of obstruction directly across the street, which is one of the reasons I ended up shooting from this angle.

Blended pretty well - at least I can't tell. So when do the people start showing up and camping out?

Pretty neat subject. I wonder how this would look if you were standing dead-center in front of the church and waited for no cars and some pedestrians walking by. Then process in b&w. Might be interesting to show some of the pavement in front of the church. Just my rambling thoughts... 8)

Bonus points for editing with a handicap ;-) Really incongruous to see that beautiful old church with the ugly bleachers crowding it.
