I don't think the contrast of the brightly coloured top and the black background work too well here. The portrait itself is nice, but the black background is actually distracting because of its harsh contrast with the lady.

I love her expression and the inclusion of her hand in the composition. The black BG works - but I would prefer less negative space on the left and a closer crop in order to better see the details of her fascinating face.
