Yeah, my Journalism teacher (who failed me last semester, btw) convinced me to be the photographer for the school's paper. Yeah, well for some reason, photojournalism is sooo much harder than fine art-type photos. First you have to get everyone's name and spell them correctly and if you can't get thier names then you can't show there face. Then after my teacher looked through my photos for one issue saying, "No, no, hideous, no, none of these will work." he told me the confusing advise that I had to be close but far away at the same time and there ALWAYS has to be action AND people, but if they're a speaker you can't just show them speaking, and you can't have any "desk shots" even if all that person does is sit at a desk all day! And did I mention everything has to be center composition?? Ahhhhh!!!...remind me why I signed up again for next semester?
...anyway, this was one of the shots that I am at least OK with, not happy, but OK. The story was about how all the students were getting gmail accounts from Google (who is based about 15 mins from us). Oh and she wasn't posing, I snuck up on her ;)
