....to wait for them to come where I expect, hoping they stays there long time enough to focus, press the shutter button, and see they just fly away. A great patience lesson. And first use of my brand new tele 2X expander (coupled with my Sigma EX 70-200@200mm (600mm equiv))

So cute.

DOF is very good, although I wonder why parts of the bird seem a little unsharp. There seems to be a quite heavy colored reflection on his belly, would have been nice if you could have corrected that.

I think the top crop could be a bit lower, as there's quite a lot of dead space up there.

This looks a little soft, and the colors could be a little richer, maybe some more saturation, but other than that it is a nice image. I like the composition and the dof is good.

very nice! I know how hard it is to take a photo of a bird the face seems a little soft on this bird but nice capture

Focus appears slightly off on the bird. Like the blue reflection on the chest though. Neat shot.

Who's learning patience, the bird or the photographer? Beautiful depth-of-field

The bird is almost in focus, good try...and good diagonal composition...these shots are becominga little bit too cliche.

Just lacking the crisp focus required to make this a great shot.

Nice overall composition but I think it could have been cropped a bit more off the top. Focus also is a bit off as details seem to be lost on the bird.

This is such a nice capture and you have used nice DOF and framed the bird well. I am unsure if there is something that could be done about that in the original but the overal focus of the image is not very good. That is too bad for such a nice capture. There is some noise in the background but you could easily get rid of that with noise reduction software such as NeatImage.

The little guy could be in slightly better focus, but it's a charming picture.

Good DOF for an interesting background. Bird's face seems a bit soft focus.

a bit soft on the focus on the head, usually what folks look at.

Good DOF, and composition. I like the color contrast. It looks like you ended up focusing on the feet of the subject. The composition would be stronger with more of a head centric focus. 5

I like the concept, would like to see the birds face a tad sharper.
