 Are your eyes bleeding right about now??

I was looking for something in my prop box and came across these straws that I never used, so decided to try them here. I put them in a small glass, and then painted them with light. Yes, there is a layer of fractalius in there, but I blended in soft light but it sure made the colors jump. Besides a bit of regular editing, I applied a small amount of the spherize filter to make a bit more round.

I would never have guess Fractalius was lurking in the depths here. I know, there's been a lot of straw shots on this site, but I think this is one is very appealing - the way you used the filter to have them all twisting a bit like that.

Love the perspective....the straws are like a colorful pinwheel spinning outward but seemingly coming straight at us at the same time. Love the brilliant and bold colors that burst forward at us. The colors pop quite nicely off of the dark black background. Good job here.

The fade to black in the center is a nice touch. And not too bright on my monitor - very bold, rich color.

Gorgeous colors! I love the fluorescent straws, I have a big box myself. I like they way they seem to be curving.

Nope, no bleeding eyes here. I think it's pretty cool and would make a nice wall print for a modern sort of room.
