Interesting that you chose to present this in black and white. Why? I would think that the color contrast of the apple & citrus peel would've given this more interest.

cool idea - i like the stables and the orange slice to provide the transpant - it would be neat to see how this one looks in color

Mrs. Apple, there is some good news and some bad news.
We have successfully performed your husband's heart transplant. It was a great match for size and the surgeon has done a very neat job....unfortunately the donor-recipient tissue compatibility might give us a teensy-weensy problem...
(Sorry, got a bit carried away there, 8)

cool idea. you think their blood type is compatible?
Guess my math teacher was wrong. Here's the prove that you can mix apples and oranges. :) may be the light is a little too harsh?

I'm not sure I like the specific angle you shot this at, and I also wonder how this might have looked in color? But this is a brilliant concept!

I'm sorry for the apple, but it looks really good. Cool concept.
It must have been quite tricky to peal it in such a perfect heart shape. Hope you got it right in your first try.
Maybe a bit more contrast to make the apple more 3D like?

Did color not work? Interesting choice to go B&W with the orange skin on the apple. This is an interesting photo... nice little setup.

Great idea, and I can see a lot of work went into this, but the image itself is a bit weak: lighting is a bit flat; color would have worked MUCH better fro this particular shot; not sure it really meets the challenge.

Excellent idea. It seems very overexposed though this was probably intentional. 8/10
