Looked out my window and saw the moon just calling me. I have never tried to take a picture of the moon or even attempted to take a picture a night. I couldn't get it at first... it just looked like a bright light in the sky. I tinkered with the settings and finally I got this. I would explain in more detail, but I don't really know what I did! I'm just a rookie!

I did adjust the color slightly in Photoshop.

I have no complaints about this picture..not many people can get a picture that detailed of the moon. All the others that are worried about blurriness...I wouldn't say anything like that..not like they are going to get a picture that good of the moon any time soon.

it isn't sharp (heh..that's a pun). Honestly, a difficult shot to pull off, and you made a good attempt. Looks like you got a little camera shake.

It would be fun to have the gear to do this sometime!

Getting the exposure on moon shots can be tough but you've managed to get it right here. Good detail on the surface, although it still seems a little blurry. Definitely a good effort!

Did you miss the eclipse or on the wrong side of the world.

Seems to be only just in focus - and this shot absolutely requires focus, as there's nothing else to hold the eye here. A partial moon makes, in my view, for a more interesting photo, and it has the potential to show at least some texture, which is impossible in a shot of the full moon.

It seems too soft to me. More contrast and some sharpening would help I think.

I was actually planning to enter a moon shot in this challenge (see portfolio), but changed my mind. I probably would not have changed it if I had managed to get a shot of the full moon like you did.

Nice moon shot. Good detail, and I like the use of color. The color is unusual, most moon shots look like black and white even when shot in color. I think placing the moon off-center on a rectangular, rather than square, background would make a more effective composition.

The shot is out of focus...if this was a first time with a telescope keep trying but it's a start!

Not well focused, blurry.

Could be sharper. You might try an unsharp mask to achieve that. Too bad you don't have that for the new center contest. Couldn't think of a better entry.
