 My wife baked a carrot cake and left it unattended on the counter. With nary a knife or fork used, it was mostly consumed by the children before she remembered it. She had to cut herself a piece and just put a little icing on it.

I think it's quite hard to tell what the food is (is it sponge?) - which may put voters off.

Doesn't really convey Before and After very well. And the shot is just kind of... flat. Doesn't really grab my interest.

It seems like kind of a bland picture, it needs something more exciting then a piece of meat stuff just sitting in a pan... sorry

I can see the "after" but not the "before". Perhaps you could have tried to arrange the bowl more artfully or taken the shot from an interesting angle.

To me the photo doesn't show before and after, even with the title. Ok lighting, but overall the photo looks like a snapshot.

Reminds me of our first dog, who got a piece of every cake mere moments before the guests were supposed to be served. No matter how well we thought we'd protected it! For this challenge I would prefer to actually see the pristine "before" cake, too.
