looks like the camera focused more on the leaf to the right. you could do what I do when a pic doesn't turn out the way i want - convert to black and white! hehe |

I agree with MaryO. The lines in that backlit leaf are just beautiful. Good eye. |

I would leave a long drawn out comment, but in the end it would sound a bunch like MaryO I think she hit the nail on the head. |

Hmmmm. You're off to a good start. Maybe you could crop out the part of the leaves at the right that are in deep shadow. Keep the stuff that's back lighted. |

The light is great and the colors have good potential. To add to the editing suggestions... I would crop a lot tighter - picking one leaf as the star. Also you can mess around with levels to make the colors pop more and giving it more contrast. |

What was it you liked that inspired you to take the shot? For me it would be the light through the top foreground leaf. So shooting and processing would have the goal of emphasizing that leaf. Crop much tighter, maybe go B&W, bump the contrast significantly and you have a whole 'nother image. Whether YOU like it or not is the question! |

Nice graduated tones in this Rob. However, I think the partially green leaf in the top left hand corner detracts from the rest of the image. |
