Will you allow me to make a couple of suggestions? Photographing a body of water like this is tough to make look really good. There is enough wave action that you aren't getting a good clean reflection and even if it was calm there isn't anything of real quality to reflect. With a large body of water you really need something in the foreground, a plant, a limb, a boat, a rock, a dock, just something to ground the image. Secondly, the other bank of the lake is exactly in the middle of the image. That placement is not normally visually satisfying. If there was a fantastic reflection it would be acceptable, but you sense the lack of visual satisfaction in this image. You should move your lake horizon up to 2/3 or down to 1/3 of the image. Finally, there isn't much to see on the other side of the lake...flat, nothing visually stimulating. |
