Ahhhh, great capture and great job getting his/her eyes open! I don't like the "chopped off hand" but that only knocks it down by 1 point to a 9....

My eye keeps being drawn to the belly button, so I might crop a bit off the bottom to keep the focus on the face.

I think this would be more effective it the image was rotated a bit counter clockwise.

Now that is one new baby - very precious. I think having the pinky of the adult in the frame and a little more space between the top of the head and the top of the frame would have been nice. Having said that - shooting newborns involves so much that is isn't so much easier to sit and critique and do the hindsight game and this is still a great keepsake that will be treasured for many years I am sure!
