"Silhouette - A view of an object or scene consisting of the outline and a featureless interior".

Not only we do not see the outline of an object in this photo, but the "interior" conveys a strong 3 dimensional sense, so I would think that's very much not a silhouette, but rather a powerful image.

too dark, i see what you were going for, but it just doesn't look all that good to me

I initially rated this one really low but in hindsight I am bumping it up a bit. The first reaction was due to the subject very close to being a silhouette (challenge rules). But it is a great shot and I cannot bring myself to tag it so low. Just wanted to give you my thoughts as many other votes may have rated it low for that reason.

beautifully lit but IMO just a little too much silhouetting
