Challenge: Backlighting IV (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di for Canon
Date: Nov 25, 2008
Aperture: F16
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/160
Date Uploaded: Nov 25, 2008

To get the shot I cut the back off an apple and hollowed it out. Placed a speedlight behind it on 1/8 power, fired by a cybersync transmitter. Shot in RAW and converted, a quick crop and cloned out a spot of sensor dust and this is the result.

Nice example, but the photo just doesn't say wow to me. The photo feels a little soft.

Unusually lit. Makes it very effective. You could spends days on perfecting a shot like this.
