The petal parts of a Christmas Cactus. This cactus only blooms around Christmas, hence the name. It is a little early this year.

I'm afraid the image as a whole does not work for me. The part that is in reasonable focus is not the part my eye is drawn to.

Careful with the vibration and motion on macro's even with a tripod a manual shutter release should be used as even a tiny movement like breathing can distort the focus.

How did you get such a grainy rims? It's not appealing for a flower shot, neither puzzling.
