This is a close up of a typwriter, in fact a typwriter used at Bletchley Park in the UK during the second World War by the people who were involved in breaking the enigma code.
Shot using a sigma 70-300 lens in Macro mode.
Only a few adjustments made to this single shot.

Not exactly a stumper. I have made similar shots before and know the degree of difficulty is high. Good detail. Precise focus. Appealing DOF. Well done.
Guess I'm a geezer... Obviously with the red/black ribbon. At one time I had one with no numeral 1, and with a level to raise/lower the keys for use/storage. Nicely done.
I wonder how many people at DPC might be too young to recognize a typewriter when they see it. Great detail on the near piece. A fair amount of noise in the background, but I'm guessing that's from cropping in a fair amount.
A good way to mitigate that noise without losing detail (in advanced editing) is to duplicate the image into a new layer, use the 'reduce noise' filter so the background looks smooth, then just use the eraser on the noise reduced layer to let areas of detail come through clearly (experiment with opacity for best results- 100% for main focal plane objects and then down from there). Hope you don't mind the unsolicited advice, and for the record, I am not an expert. Good luck.
Your not old enough to know what one of these is. I'll send you a typed answer in the post! Nice shot. Good focus and composition. Would like to see a square crop with the red dot key at 4o degree angle.
