hot glued string to dice and pulled them during an 8 second exposure with the aperture wide open. Too bad I didn't have any fishing line...go figure - and I fish!

Now this a cool shot. Did you use a strobe light? Excellent way of thinking a little out of the box to get a different feel for motion blur. It works well because instead of seeing one sharp dice with a big blur, you manage to capture the dice in several positions which give it more of a realistic motion sequence the eye can follow. I maybe would have used a little bit stronger light source to create more contrast between the white and black, I think the lower light brings out a bit of that low blue chromanance noise which gives it that grain. But really, I kind of like it that way. Nicely done!
