It was out of focus, and it wasn't on purpose.

The lighting is really good here. I also like your idea, since a drummer is full of motion in a confined space. For this to be a better shot, the stationary objects (drums,cymbal stands) Should be crisp and in focus. The drummer and the objects that move should be blurred due to motion. Hope this helps!
