Taken near Rockefeller Center after I got off work. The idea just came to me. I took 4-5 shots, and I think this looks the best when downsized.

This is a nice concept for the challenge. It really emphasizes the mundane task of waiting. My only wish is that the building is a bit crooked in the background... I'm sure if that were straight though, the line of people would be crooked so I don't really know the best solution.

what i find awesome about this shot is the almost systematic distance between people, as if they are standing on dots waiting...10

I really like this photograph but for some reason I can't quite put my finger on why but I think its the way the gap between the people in the queue is almost equal which makes a comment on how ordered society can be.

Nice shot! It would have been even better if cropped tighter. The church is distracting. A 6.

I wanted to give this another opoint. Things that would have counted are; Rotation, getting the horizontal correct (left 1.3deg) and maybe using Thirds a little to move the strong focal centre of the image slightly to the right. The short fat man framed by the strong gold of the building entrance could make this a serious robbon contender if a large portion of the pavement was gone and the right crop was just behind the girl with the shoulder bag.

This is an excellent observation.. the spaces between the people seam to be almost exactly the same.. amazing how well defined the concept of personal space is.. Great capture.. 10

On another note.. I was just at this spot last night.. I wanted to take a couple night shots of the cathedral but couldn't find a good angle..wish they would take down that ugly awning
