Fun shot of the dancing man and onlookers. Reminds me of You Think You Can Dance TV series. The middle guy doesn't think so. Nice contrast with the strong backlight. |

This photo takes me back... I remember thinking, why don't they just use a real soccer ball and would shake my head in disappointment as I would be off to play same footie...
I like the way the hackey sack is almost at eye level and exercising a gravitational pull on everyone's gaze...

They do strike me as homeless. And though they are engaging in play, I feel no joy emanating from this scene.
I do very much like the photo however. |

I do rather like this shot. Quite a motley crew. The guy with the boots playing the Hackey sack is a real odd looking fellow :) |

Like the funny short guy in glasses - almost uncool, then the darkness of the 4 figures against the light, then the stroller which makes up for the missing dog or shopping cart, and finally I see the stopped motion of the ball. Everything is oddly sweet and benign. |

It does tell a story, maybe even a few. I like the action that you froze in time, and I like the contrast between your foreground and background. The fun in the capture is obvious from first glance, but studying the image steered me into the background as well. I can almost hear the mother in the background telling the toddler, "stay in school or you will spend your days on the street like them." Not that these kids are homeless or troubled, just a story that my mind imagines. Well seen and well captured. |
