 Another ocean shot... bleh. :) The thing is, this is what I truly enjoy shooting so I'm not selling out for ribbons. Out at 6:30 a.m., enjoying a Pacific sunrise is as good as it gets. This is the coast north of Bodega Bay--really can't do the waves justice with a picture, as they were huge all weekend.

I can't remember for sure but I think I used a ND8 soft Grad ND to hold back the sky even though the light was very soft that early in the morning. The sun was coming up on the left of the frame.

LR adjustments to color and clarity. Increase saturation, high radius USM, low radius USM, submit.

I think this is good enough for a ribbon but not sure if it meets the challenge like most of the high scorers in MB 1,2. We'll see. I'll be pleased as punch with a 6.6!

I would have givn this more points, but the crooked horizon got to me. Still a nice photo. Good composition. Foreground interest to draw you in.
