 A few months ago, Caesar was nearly given away. We'd had him a very short time and things weren't looking good between him and my son. Caesar didn't understand that small humans still outranked him in the pecking order. Some time spent with a dog handler saved the day and now the two of them are best friends and Caesar is very much an important part of my sons life.

I think I'm going to do a set of images for this macro side challenge that reflect "things" that are important to my son in everyday life. Put them together at the end and make a decent size print or poster for him.

For those curious... :-)

Nice job on the DOF. I like how the color in the catchlight matches the fur in places.

brilliant shot and excellent story .. how wonderful that both ceasar and your son are best mates when things could have gone so differently .. a beautiful dog .. :)

I like the picture within the picture of his eye. The DOF directs my attention to the eye and holds it there. Usually, I like to roam the whole image, but here, I have enjoyed roaming inside the eye.

This is one of the nicest eye shots I have seen. I like the color combo in the eye in this shot, and that the focus and centered composition draws us to the center of attention the way it does.
