I know this is a long shot... People are probably not going to "dig" this humor but... as bad as things are in the world right now, we have to try to smile through all of it and hope for the best... :o)

BTW... I was going to name this shot Thanks for the banana, our Daddy is a stockbroker so...."

Chickened out!!! so here goes "Harsh times"

I have no idea why this didn't score much higher. It was one of my favs in the challenge and I scored it accordingly. Very very nice work. I love the black and white.

I love this photo, Ragga! Your children are so incredibly beautiful. The dirt and unkempt look, somehow highlight what pure beauty they have even more!!

Adorable shot but I can't tell if it's real or staged. I'll assume real.

great models, and tones are great. For some reason the younger girl eating kinda bugs me here- sorry! I know thats nit-picky. Still a great shot, and good score from me!

Very well done shot. I feel like these kids are too well dressed to convey true poverty though..

it just looks a little too posed. The lighting is gentle and the tonal range excellent

This is a great pic and could well be amongst the ribbons this week. The only thing I would have liked to see is the smallest girl in either bare feet or older shoes and maybe an older looking top. Certainly IMO one of the better images in this weeks challenge though.

It just looks too staged...

Come on! Those are some beautiful, healthy children. Clean clothes and finger nails. Skin is glowing with health despite the dirt. Love the composition, BW conversion, focus, etc. Just a long shot at expressing poverty. I'm not going to vote because minus the dirt on the face this a wonderful photograph, just does not represent poverty to me.

I really like this. Although, I would have either put older shoes on the smaller child or no shoes at all. Great picture otherwise.
