Little Owl by name - and Little Owl by nature.

As you can see these guy's really are tiny.

This was handheld at about 1/40 of a second using my favourite lens.

OMG, I am so envious, and so in awe. I have a photo of a Little Owl, but it was taken at the Rutland Owl and Falconry Centre: I haven't seen one in the wild for years. This composition is so good. Excellent!

Pygmy Owl!!! That's one small raptor, beautiful capture! I'll have to look that one up and read about it's diet, must be insects and small rodents. Gotta love that lens at 1/40 sec and still very blur free!

This is maybe my favorite picture so far in this side challenge. I love that you can tell just how little they are by the faucet.

Gosh, he is tiny, and it is great that he is perched on something which shows his size. Lovely shot.

Cool, so tiny and yet so much like it's larger cousins. Beautiful shot, and at such low shutter speed too. The IS showed it's ability with this one.

Yep, your eagle was quite distinguished, very powerful, and ribbon-winning, but I prefer this little guy. He may not be as big or as striking, but he's quite elegant and poised just the same.
