Taken in the dry creek bed of Bear Creek in rural Boone County Iowa. Leaves were just starting to change color. I love the contrast of the bright red leaf against the sandy creek bed. Shot in very low light, I bumped the ISO up to 1600 to reduce the shutter speed enough to make the shot while hand held. I think it adds a certain quality to the shot.
