Funny, when I saw the thumbnail at first glance I thought it was a rabbit. Whatever it was, it appeared to be dead (lifeless eye). I'm glad to see that it's a rodent and not a rabbit. As a young adult, in farm country, I hunted many a rabbit...today it doesn't appeal to me so much anymore.
You've captured very good detail here in this image. B/W was a good choice and I like the manner in which this comp was considered. |

Nice and sharp with good patterns of fur and wood (?) it is lying on. Good composition as well. [Would be much more dpc friendly if you had just called it "resting" and left it at that.] |

Right decision to go b/w with this. the high contrast works real well with the good sharpness. |
