 I have not gotten into portraiture, let alone self-portraits, so I'm hoping to learn a great deal from this attempt. Lighting is just a halogen work lamp bounced out of an alcove in my house. The camera is on the landing above my livingroom.

I used a remote+delay to trigger shots, took a few at a time ran up to check the outcome, ran back to adjust & take more, over and over, and I decided to live with this one. The lighting is a bit harsh on the left side of my face (somewhat mitigated w/selective colors), but I love the composition of this shot, so here goes...

This is actually a great promo shot - I've seen it up here before but never commented. Paganini?? ;-) There must be something about musos and photography - you have a very good eye

I like the idea of the blurred bow to give the photo some movement, however the blurred hand detracts from the photo and doesn't work. Hard to achieve one without the other though.
