Autumn is here, and the cleanup is underway. The old men sweep the footpaths every morning and afternoon here. Although this is blurry and out of focus, I really like the feel of it.

Shot kneeling down, the guy didn't notice me at all.

Because of the feeling this picture conveys, I think the slight out of focus works better with it. Thanks for sharing this one with us, I love it ;)

I love this shot.. any more would be too much information ... the interaction between broom and leaf tells all we need to know.

my favorite part of the image is that we can all tell it is an old man sweeping without seeing anything but his feet, how he steps, and the energy that he sweeps with

I [u][really/u] like this -- especially the broom and leaf in mid-air. And then there's your processing -- excellent as always.

I agree that the broom is soft/out of focus, but I disagree that it is good for the photo. Focus really would be better on the broom and leaf. Looking at the bricks, I think the broom is just out of focus. Too bad.

But candids are usually from a distance and they are shots of opportunity, so we take what we get.

However, the composition (color, border, crop) is FANTASTIC. Good idea.

It is a bit soft, but nothing's lost really. It's very artisitic. The sepia was a nice touch.

I don't see it as blurry and out of focus at all. To me, it's dead on what it needs to be, if that makes sense. And I like that you caught the one leaf mid-air.
