Gameboy! My son can't get enough of it right now. :-)

I think I'm going to do a set of images for this macro side challenge that reflect "things" that are important to my son in everyday life. Put them together at the end and make a decent size print or poster for him.

Great that you got all of the pad in focus here. Pretty difficult to do with such a close-up. I like the simplicity and cleanliness of this.

Nice detail and composition. the only thing I can notice some noise in the shadows, but other than that, is a nice picture.

Simply, but well done. The arrow pad looks completely independent from the control pad.

I like the depth that can be seen into the area next to the arrow pad, but it looks a bit grainy.

This image has an interesting mix of light and dark, shape and texture. I give it a + : )

The strength of this is the simplicity. But you really need to get him a DS so he can keep up with his peers! :-)

He obviously hasnt used it enough, my son has everything worn off of his buttons on the PS2 and the gameboy. :D

I like the focus and the DOF must have been natural light as well tripod mounted. Either that are you are supersteady and have some kickbutt IS system. :D

good focus. The bw works well here, I think. I like the minimalistic approach to this.

Ha ha! Nice, sharp, simple and I like the way you composed it. For a previous side challenge I thought like you and did a wii button:

Wow lovely lighting and textures on this!

I think the idea you have would also be awesome as a triptych all in B&W would look very modern

That is an awesome idea, Barry! My youngest is too young to appreciate something like that and my oldest is too old to appreciate it. :/ Isn't your boy like 5 or 6?

Can't wait to see the finished works!

That is a great idea for your son. Years down the road he will look at it and remember them.
