 Taken downtown this morning - liked this shot as he appeared to be making notes in the newspaper - the sun was hot and he had a perfect spot under the shade of the tree - he never noticed me. I cropped this shot a little off the top and side to bring focus to the paper in his lap. Little pp done other than to sharpen it and brighten it.

Nice sense of city life in this shot. I like the color palette, too -- nice how the orange repeats. He looks a bit downtrodden but I wouldn't call this exploitative at all. Well done!

I often ask people's permission to take their photo but this gentleman was lost in what he was doing with his paper and I saw no reason to disturb him. He was very peaceful amid the hustle and bustle of the downtown noon hour.

What strikes me here is that you chose not to show us just another bum on the street. Behind the unshaven face and raggedy clothes, you can see an intellectual -- a mind at work. Sometimes those things just happen (luck of the shot), but it loses nothing in your presentation and processing. Great lighting and focus here.
