 I hope anyone who saw this image in the IR side challenge will refrain from voting!

taken on a quick trip through Storrs CT, home of University of Connecticut.

This one gave me some trouble in the processing because of the sky. This shot was taken almost directly into the angle of the sun. IR has the same problem as a wide angle polarizer shot. Dark side about 90 degrees from angle of sun. So, I had to work to even the sky out a little bit.

processing - cloned out lens flare in road and in cloud. rotate 0.5 degree, then crop. curves layer. invert red and blue channels. hue/sat to get proper shade of blue in sky. Noise Ninja to remove noise. desaturate pavement to remove almost all color. selectively colorize lines with yellow. healing brush and cloning in the sky to even out tones. resize. USM at large then small radius. add border.

Nice IR! Simple yet effective. I'm envious as I have a dedicated IR body and I still can't get nice results :(

This reminds me of work by Judi. Anyway, I like it. It looks so nice and cool when I'm still seeing temps hover just under 100.

I'm not a fan of IR but you overcome all my negative feelings with this fine curved line and composition. 9
