 I was shooting for love, but the image turned out to be so much more, I had to call it 'Rapture'.

Shot with a lens zoom centered on the small heart.
PP: RAW conversion, cropped, and rotated. Added a red to white radial gradient layer in exclusion mode (36% opacity). Levels to brighten, high pass/soft light to sharpen, neat image, resized, added a faint inner glow, saved for web.

I really did not take the time to look at this during the challenge. It's really cool! I looks like an angel fluttering his wings. And I love what looks like spikes of curly gold and silver hair too. Neato.

Juli, I love this photo. You did such an excellent job creating an artistic expression for the challenge. I'm joining the crowd in being baffled at its score. If it were me picking, this one would have been in the VERY top few!

I really like this image. When I first scrolled through the entries as thumbs this one caught my eye.
Really conveys the emotion and is fantastically simple looking. Love it!

I didn't get a chance to come back and comment on this shot although I meant to as I liked it so much... I voted it an 8 - and am very surprised it scored in the range it did...rapture, love's gift, is presented here perfectly - glowing, fragile, beautiful - you photgraphed this so well and met the challenge perfectly.

A pretty cool effect - reminds me of the anti-voodoo doll for some reason and I have no idea what an anti-voodoo doll is. I just made it up. For me, there is more emotion to the photo then abstractedness but a good job at trying...
