I'm sure some may recognize my girls. This idea came to me suddenly this afternoon...instead of constant cell phone chattering, I do things like...think, and make cool stuff.

Anyway...this is a TtV...not an overlay. I shot it through the viewfinder of an old Kodak Duaflex 2.

...hope some get a giggle from this, I did. I'm also hoping, naively so, that people won't vote this down because they think I'm breaking basic. I was going to do a pre-validation, but decided against it...let someone else ask for it and I will be happy to send in my original.

[Sep. 26th, 2008 09:23:16 AM]

DURING:

Dear baghead, who tells me I can't use overlays in a challenge...duh. This isn't an overlay. I used this:

Perfectly legal and full on basic. Why didn't you request a validation? Or have you, and I haven't gotten the request yet?

AFTER:

Someone finally requested a validation, and I am happy to say I am validated. I'm also really happy so many of you saw the humor in this...glad you enjoyed it!

I'm just stumbling across a few photos from the Bummer challenge and ... oh my!! I just love this! Such a great idea and I absolutely adore your process. It's frustrating to not find the appreciation this deserves, but apparently it was in fact recognized by some and definitely by me. Great work!!

This shows so much thought and originality (using the Kodak lens), and is still so subtle that one can enjoy it for quite a while to come.

Inspirational, funny, and cool. what more could you ask for? … a ribbon would have been nice I suppose but it might have its rightful seat as a gem in the sands of mediocrity.

This is so amusing. Yet another disillusionment about dpc voters.

Masterful use of color and focus to direct the viewer's eye - especially well done considering it is basic editing. I love your warped sense of humor.

I like this photo... really makes me think "bummer" esp how you placed the little statue looking down at the arms. Like the blurring effect

I laughed at this photo. The doll in the middle has this, "oops, I did it again" look.

reminds me of Svetlana's work. Intriguing, not obvious, have to look at it, great lighting. 9

Everything is so rough/ugly about this I think it would have looked really good in black and white. The subjects, the background, the frame - complete the feel and lose the color. Not voting, just commenting. Good luck.

The longer I look at this, the funnier it gets. The facial expressions are perfect.
