| In my totally useless opinion, the cuts on the hands and the dirty nails add to the current climate of "fragility" and your title with respect to the country represented by that flag. |

You broke the cardinal rule regarding subject matter and paid for it. ;-)
LOL - just kidding - I'm sure there's no anti-American bias on DPC. :)
edit to add: I just looked at the downstream thumbs and I retract my second line above.

| subject (US flag) is a bit overdone, but you added an interesting context. very good composition, angle and b/w conversion. Usually not likely for me to rate national symbol shots highly, but this is the best entry so far IMHO |
