Greetings from the Critique Club!
Hello! This is a nice shot overall, well composed and balanced. But it seems to be missing something, it doesn't jump off the screen and make me want to go to that park and go relax. It also seems just a tad tilted to the left making me feel just a bit off balance. I used my magic envelope and cropped off the bottom on my screen and that made a big difference to start. Also maybe boosting up the contrast just a bit to really help bring out the colors of the shot and make them jump out so it will grab my attention. Looking at your portfolio I noticed that a lot of the shots are well nice, I especially like the bearded dragon (I used to have one) but alot of them also looked a bit flat.

Also the background in the shot is very busy with the playground and that's okay, at least it's not filled with kids to really make the shot too busy :) But again, with the magic of my trusty envelopes I cropped it a little tighter on the sides, bringing the left to the left edge of the arch and the right side so the bench and trash can was gone. Again, big difference! I tried taking some off the top but that really hurt the shot, the trees really make this shot, offering a cover and a border at the same time.

Hope this helps and if you do adjust this shot, I would love to see the new version.

Good Luck In Future Challenges!

thanks for those who did comment on the photo - it was kinda a spur of the moment idea... it was asked for proof of submission and i was wondering why? just curious to know what sparked the idea of the image not being valid ...

Looks very relaxing. Although the horizon seems to be tilted a bit.

a bit overexposed in parts - a hard situation to photograph well.

Nice idea - good seeing. Image apears to be a bit over-exposed. I'd also feel better about it if the subjects were not so centered.

tho photo leans a little to the left and seems a little over exposed. The composition is good and I especiallly like the arch of the play equiptment matching the arch of the tree branches. Looks alot like my son's area in Spring Texas.,6

Nice shot. A touch of darkening/contrast would help a lot. And maybe a bit or rotate?

blown hightlights. Touch conditions to take pictures in, would have waited for dusk or early morning.

I really like the mood of this shot. Even the dog looks relaxed! I like the composition, with the man and dog in the lower portion of the frame.
