I'm not too keen on that empty space in the top right but at the same time, I didn't want the photo to appear cluttered. I kinda liked how it turned out with a higher ISO than I normally use, at least. I also tried that trick of putting a bit of loo roll over the flash as suggested by several people and I was quite pleased with the resulting light.
Editing was very simple; just a sharpen, some contrast level tweaking, cloned out one spot of sensor dust, then a slight crop and finally a resize.

Very nice - I like how you have the coil leading thru the picture. My preference would have been to see a little more contrast so that the tape does not appear to be the same color as the background.
Interesting composition. The tape creates a nice leading line into the frame. Focus seems a little off however. Since this is staged I would definitely have gone for more DOF.
