I really like the use of backlighting, but I think this image would "pop" more by just doing a little bit of saturation and curves adjustment, and by cloning out the brown dot on the petal. Here is my attempt at it...

Nicely done. The light color and shadows provide aesthetics, but the flower fine detail finishes the picture so it can be enjoyed from close as well as afar.
