It suddenly struck me, while passing by the lake side during the immersion week, that this activity can be incorporated into the DP challenge; with Lord Ganesha being the omnipotent immovable Lord and humans trying to immerse his idol into the water. It was only on the very last day of the challenge that I ventured out with the camera. After spending some 1 and half hours waiting for the idols to arrive, this is one of the pictures that I got, and that I liked most (mainly because to me it appears that Lord Ganesha has a bit of emotive face in this one). Now, I just hope others like it too :-).

I love the lights in the background. And I really like the men on the side, they really add to the photo.

Different and meets the challenge. The main focus of the photo seems overexposed. Also the off centre nature for me does not work

The horizon looks a bit tilted. It also would have helped to ask the men to face the camera. (I have the same reluctance too.) But when you don't the picture comes out looking more like a snapshot, and you get a lot of the back of people's heads.

Seems like there is a little too much light on the statue where as the men are darker.

Corrked horizon and the statue being too bright spoil this a bit.

Interesting shot. Cropping out the guy on the left might put more focus on the subject.

The light is a wee bit harsh on the statue's face.

I'm not sure what this is about but if the title means God is not moved by our pleas, many might agree, and as many disagree, with that concept!

Not sure if by lift you are referring to these guys being on an elevator, or crane or something because the crop is too tight to tell that story. Light from the left side is a bit harsh on the face and washes out the colors.

Great use of light to capture all of the men around the object

What does the hands-behind-head action mean in this context?

the idol/statue looks like its leaning,, not keen on the composition of this shot

Great idea. The shot itself could have been a tad more dramatic in composition. Deserves a decent high score.
