Yeah, after you finish no-one is moving these. Like the shot, but not the crop. Would have preferred all both cars be in the photo, rather than cropping the boot out and the bonnet out of the different cars. I like the black and white (would also like to see what it looked like in colour). Would also have been better with a shallower depth of field, so that the crowd faded more into the background.

Nice choice in using black and white for this image. I think it works much better than color would have.

This one makes me want to go to derbies. I like the B-W effect on this.

great idea, wonder how it would of looked with a shallower DOF where the crowd would be blurred a bit, which would keep the eye on the cars

Excellent B&W. I like how you ogot the crowd inas well.

Monotone very effective. Perhaps a bit more cropping may have another effect, the large area in foreground a bit much for me.

I'd have cropped the foreground up a tad but I really like this.

I get the idea, but somehow the shot doesn't give me a strong sense of the immovable. Maybe it's because of all the smoke, but there just seems to be an element of movement to the cars. It feels more like a stopped-motion action shot, than cars that are simply stopped.

Looks like and action shot to me but well done!

really cool photo - love the b&w effect of it - it looks so old yet you took it this past week??

Interesting take on the challenge, surely will get some DNMCs, but I appreciate outside the box efforts. That being said, I wish there was some motion blur showing spinning tires! B&W treatment is nice.

another different and creative interpretation on the challenge.
Try cropping out more of the ground...

Nice photo. A little shorter depth of field might blur the crowd out, eliminating any distractions from this photo

Very dramatic. I wonder if the colour version might not have had more impact?

Cool!, my dad has done this countless # of times, well back in the 70's and 80's. Nice action shot, car #102 is wondering what the heck you are doing. The crowd doesn't look too enthused. Nice shot, 6.

This is a pretty cool shot. I suspect you are going to be getting a lot of DNMCs though since both objects are very movable. I get that it is a struggle but I don't think it really fits. I think as far as composition you could have moved the cars towards the bottom of the frame, that much foreground is unnecessary and I find myself more interested in the crowd than the cars themselves but some of the heads are cut off.
