 I submitted a different photo yesterday, on the same theme, but it didn't quite have enough DoF for this challenge. I haven't entered many here, and have always done quite badly. Hopefully trying twice will help :)
I'd like to have cloned out the dark smudges, but they were on the strings not the sensor so I'm probably not allowed to.
Shot in B&W, max contrast, max sharpness. Rotate 2 degrees, crop, slight contrast adjustment, added borders, resized, slight USM.

Now THAT'S shallow! A great subject to boot. Lends itself well to this technique. Bet this would look awesome in print. Clean up the two small dark lines in background and maybe try different coloured tones as an experiment, see what happens :)
