Not sure if this is a 1936 or 1937 Cord Model 810 or 812. Parked next to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana. This car (though not the color) has been my favorite since grade school. The Cord 810 was a revolutionary automobile for the mid 1930's (before WWII). Hidden headlights, front wheel drive, enclosed radiator, "ring" shifter (manual transmission, but the gear selector was on the dash, and you put your finger through a ring to move it to the desired gear) - not to mention the "coffin nose". The sculpted body of this auto is still acclaimed as one of the most beautiful in the world, and held up as an excellent example of art deco design.
