 My daughter. Another one who I have trouble getting a decent shot of. She always makes some kind of face, no matter what I do. I guess she's self conscience. This was taken on the beach in full sun. I did boost the saturation a bit trying to even out her skin tones as her tan is completely uneven and blotchy. Sharpened the eyes and smoothed her face (too much?).

Another beautiful model, I like the composition, and agree with the comments regarding a bit too much red on her face.

Too much on the skin. The eyes look good, though you could dodge them up a bit (just a bit!) so they stand out more. Very pretty girl, what in the world she's self conscious about I can't imagine.

I like the backlighting and composition. Before I read your comments I was thinking that the red was boosted too much. Have you tried B&W on it?

It does look like the softening was a tad too much; there's too much of a difference in detail with her lips. She has a nice pose and her hair creates a nice natural border to her face. Maybe a 1/3 to 1/2 stop underexposed but it doesn't affect the shot much I find.

The skin to me looks a bit too red -- almost like a bad sunburn. I really like the expression on her face, and how it is framed/composed. Maybe a bw conversion would help even teh skin tones?

She's a very pretty girl.. no reason for being self-conscience. I really like the look on her face.. looks like someone told her something she doesn't quite believe. Kind of that Aw..C'mon look.. I like the smoothing you did.. the only thing that I see is her forehead seems to have a funny color, almost glowing. Otherwise, I really like it!

The face smoothing looks fine, but did you dodge around her lip line? Looks a little odd to me.
Love the crop, but maybe a tiny bit underexposed?
