I like the stark contrast. Wish the background were pure white- the background (fabric?) is a touch distracting. :~)

I'm not sure how the title relates, but I generally just vote on the image itself. . .

Great processing here. She's a beautiful little girl, but this image somehow conveys a sense of loss or possibly even suffering. . . I'm not really sure what to think here, and I wonder if maybe that's the point.

Either way, you managed to get me to stop for a while and think as I try to make my way through (and comment on) almost 500 images. That says something in itself. Well done!
