You need to think about the composition a little more, the trees would have looked nicer if you didn't have the house in-shot, and perhaps pointing at the sun wasn't such a good idea.

The composition is bit distracting.

Welcome to DPchallenge. If this is your first entry congrats on getting started. The subject matter of the trees isn't as strong as it could be. The house on the left distracts from the limbs creating contrast with the over exposed sky.

I love the title...lol. It doesn't seem like it's an overexposed shot as much as it's just a shot of the sun though. I think it would have worked better cropped without the house and sun. I think the contrast between the tree and the light would have been nice.

Welcome to DPC! I hope you find it fun and semi addictive. Now to your image. I think you met the challenge in presenting something overexposed, but the image as a whole is a bit flat and not overly pleasing. There doesnt seem to be any main purpose to it. Not that there has to be in photography, but at DPC you really need something WOW like to grab the voter to keep him looking at your image for longer than 2 seconds. Dont fret over the low sores - we all get them. Just keep plugging away at your craft and learn all you can from this place. There is alot to take in at DPC.

i cant work it out, is this over or under exposed... hmm...

You have lens flare on the lower left which isn't pleasing and the composition is weak. It would be better without the house with the sun coming through the trees

I do feel a lot of sympathy since this is your first entry. My first impressions are:
1. It really meets the challenge. That makes it at least a 4 for me.
2. The composition is not particularly pleasant -- there is no element of interest where my eye is drawn to.
3. The image quality is not particularly high. Neither the tree nor the house is really in focus. It might have been interesting to focus on just one and make it really sharp.
Hope this helps, and I hope you continue to submit.
