Crop, the usual in Irfanview - median filter followed by USM, gamma adjustment, switch green to red (I often to this to make the greens darker in BW conversion), convert to greyscale, resize, USM.

Shot at about 6:00 pm. Have been waiting for the first one to open. Kind of sickly sweet fragrance. (Hmn, I'm sure someone has developed a more sophisticated smelling Nicotiana...Let me know).

Oops, should have said N. sylvestris - the common one.

I used to have this in my garden-a lovely plant...red blooms as I recall. I like how you have shown the complexity of the flower and the wonderful tracing of the leaf veins. VEry lovely in B&W.
