Flaming pears ???? Have to check that out. i have never been able to photograph a glad where the image did it justice- yours certainly does that. Thanx for the story of the gardens ! I admire your wife's gardening talents (& of course your photography talents :)

Not sure of the provenance: don't members of the mob sit facing the door? Okay, so now I'll settle down and pay attention to how you photograph your glads. Back view very effective - the form of the bracts echos and coordinates with the striping on the blooms, but mostly it is the structure/pattern that this view provides that rules or should rule the picture. Your effects, being the same green, detract.

(BTW, bean, not pea. Peas about gone, beans about to begin).
